PSMPC is a non-profit cooperative of local ranchers, farmers, butchers, restaurant owners and others joined in the operation of a mobile, USDA-inspected meat processing unit servicing Pierce, King, Kitsap, Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Thurston, Mason, and Lewis Counties.

There are two ways to join the PSMPC: as a Producer Member or as an Associate Member.

For qualifying as a Producer Member and purchasing one share of Common Stock, you gain a vote and voice in the cooperative. You receive priority access to locally produced, USDA-inspected meat processing and products. Other benefits of Producer Membership include preferred scheduling and rates for the products and services that the cooperative members offer. Most importantly, membership will provide you with access to a network of other meat producers, butchers, restaurant owners and important food industry stakeholders who will help grow your business and make it more profitable.

As a Producer Member, you are also eligible to purchase Class B Preferred Stock which offers the highest priority scheduling of available co-op products and services. This member benefit is especially valuable to those members who have operational or contractual obligations that must be fulfilled.

By joining as an Associate Member, you are supporting local agriculture. Associate Members are welcome and encouraged to attend PSMPC Field Days and Annual Meetings to network and provide input to the membership.

Class A Preferred Stock, which may pay up to an 8% dividend on net earnings of the co-op, is also available to interested Producer and Associate Members. An opportunity to further support this new enterprise whose mission is to produce safe, responsibly-produced meat products grown and processed within the Puget Sound Region.
